Bible Story: The Lord Supper

Big Idea: Jesus gave His body and blood for our sins, so we can remember Him through communion.

Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 11:28

Sunday School Lesson for this Week

Sorrow is something we all experience because our world has been broken by sin. Jeremiah was not an exception to this reality. God has warned the people again and again to repent and turn from their sin, but the people refused. So the people experienced consequences. As Jeremiah stood in a destroyed Jerusalem, he mourned. He lamented for the great loss the city and the people had endured because of their sin. But Jeremiah also had hope. God loved His people and His mercies never end.

Bible Passage: Lamentations 1-5

Memory Verse: Lamentations 3:22-23

Bible Story: "A Song of Sorrow"

Text Truth: When we are sad, we can talk to God because He gives us hope for tomorrow.
